The attractive venue gains its allure from its exposed-brick walls, high ceilings and sleekly designed cocktail tables. The poetry-themed decor, private poetry room and extensive martini menu give Madrigall the feel of an intimate lounge. But its earsplitting Dance Party U.S.A. sound system virtually eliminates any chance of hearing the person next to you, much less a reading from Lord Byron’s oeuvre.
